29 enero 2019 02:21

The Toronto Maple Leafs added a new player, acquiring Jake Muzzin from the Los Angeles Kings.

Toronto acquired the defenseman in exchange for forward Carl Grundstrom, the rights to Sean Durzi and a 2019 first-round pick, the team announced on Monday.

Muzzin has played for the Kings since 2010-11. He has tallied 21 points on four goals and 17 assists this season.

Muzzin won the Stanley Cup with Los Angeles in 2014.

Grundstrom and Durzin have not made their NHL debuts yet. Both were selected by Toronto as second-round picks in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

The Maple Leafs entered play on Monday in second place of the Atlantic Division with a 30-17-2 record. The 20-26-4 Kings are last in the Pacific Division.
